  1. Lolo says:

Concrete details: Identify facts obtained through senses (touch, smell, sight, sound, taste)
Abstract details: Qualities of a specific person or thing… not really seen, smelled, etc.

  2. Crafty says:

    Concrete details are for certain
    Abstract may suggest otherwise

  3. Riley says:

Concrete detailed can be quoted of verified directly: Jimmy ran “quickly” (27).

and abstract is implied (a story set in the future says there is only one police car for the entire city, you say that the city has a low crime rate because everyone has become a lazy slob).

at least I think that’s what it is…

Concrete nouns can be touched, felt, held, something visible, smelt, taste, or be heard. Concrete nouns are something physical.

Concrete nouns can be countable nouns or uncountable nouns, and singular nouns or plural nouns.

Concrete nouns can also be a common noun, proper nouns and collective nouns.

Exp. dog, cat, America, girl, apple, clouds and immigrants.

An abstract noun is a type of noun that refers to something a person cannot physically interact with. A noun is a person, place or thing. However, in many cases, the ‘thing’ might be an intangible concept – which means it is an abstract form of noun. In this instance, abstract means to exist apart from concrete existence. A noun that is abstract is an aspect, concept, idea, experience, state of being, trait, quality, feeling, or other entity that cannot be experienced with the five senses.

Exp. Idea, faith, freedom, liberty and imagination.

Concrete details are specific details from the text that form the backbone or core of your body paragraphs. :) :)
