Question by silki_one: Is using Mothers Clay bar a smart choice for detailing my car?
I recently purchased the Mothers California Gold Clay Bar paint Saving System. Has anyone used this on a newer black car with minor swirls in the paint? Does it work well? Any special things I should know before I try it on my car?

Best answer:

Answer by tichur
It will work fine and it won’t take as long as you might imagine. Just keep spraying and re-molding the clay to present a clean surface to the paint. Swirls will disappear. Then apply a polish and then a carnuba wax. After that only waxing is needed 2 or 3 times a year depending on weather, exposure etc.

Question by Scotty S: Can using a quick detailer cause scratches to your car? Mine is black but I see everything.?
I washed my car Saturday. Tomorrow is only Wednesday, but my car looks dirty. I don’t know if it’s because it rained Monday or not.

However, at what point can you use a quick detailer vs washing the car? And will quick detailing scratch the car if it’s dirty underneath?

Best answer:

Answer by Handyman
I would never use a quick wash on a black vehicle.Black is a nice color to have on a vehicle, but like you said everything shows up on it .I fine that if you use a soft rage to wash it & dry it with that works the best.Try to keep the rage moving in the same way & not in circles. When you do it this way there less looking scratches.

Give your answer to this question below!

I want to start my own car wash abroad.

The problem is i don’t have accesses to a lot of water is there any way i can wash the cars with out using that much water any ideas would help thanks.

I live in the states and i travel back and forth to my country.

Best answer:

Answer by BillyTheKid
Most car washes here in the States recycle their water, so you basically get the dirty water from the car in front of yours. That would be the best way. Also use a pressure washer , they use much less water. Personally I hand wash all of my clients cars with fresh water or for 0 I’ll do a Perrier Wash!

What do you think? Answer below!
