It never ceases to amaze me just how quickly my car can go from an auto detailer’s paradise to a sandbox in just one day. One would think that owning a car wash company would make me more disciplined in this sort of matter. Nope. After a long session the last thing I want to try and do is be dainty about not getting any sand in the car. I decided it was time to fight back against that tiny, but deadly, army of grainy invaders. So, who to enlist for this type of battle? Well I don’t want to make this article sound too “common sense” but there are some good tips you can follow to help keep the beach where it belongs.

Tip 1

Thoroughly rinse your gear after coming out of the water. If you don’t have showers , bring along a gallon of fresh water for a quick parking lot rinse.

Tip 2

Buy a gear box that fits in your trunk. That way you can toss your wetsuit + accessories in there.

Tip 3

Use a board bag. Not only does this obviously help keep your car dry (if you store your board inside the car), but it will also keep give your board more life by keeping it out of the sun.

Tip 4

Buy some roof racks. Combine this with tip 3 for maximum anti-sand and water effectiveness.

Tip 5

Change outside the car. Most people probably already do this, but I’ve noticed some folks looking like they’re having a seizure trying to change inside.

Inevitably you’ll still end up with sand in your car no matter how hard you try and keep it out. While most people think that a simple vacuuming will do the trick, there is usually much more embedded in the carpeting. You have a few options here on how to remove it.

-	Use a hard bristle brush along with your home vacuum. This will help bring hidden sand to the surface. You might have to take several passes at it.

-	Utilize a crevice tool to reach those tough spots in your car.

-	Rent a deep cleaning vacuum. from your local hardware store. These will have more cleaning power than a consumer model.

-	Take your car to an auto detailer. They have the experience needed to do a thorough job which will last for many months.

That’s it! Hopefully you’ll find these tips useful and take back your car’s cleanliness from the beach. Good Luck!

I want to start my own car wash abroad.

The problem is i don’t have accesses to a lot of water is there any way i can wash the cars with out using that much water any ideas would help thanks.

I live in the states and i travel back and forth to my country.

Best answer:

Answer by BillyTheKid
Most car washes here in the States recycle their water, so you basically get the dirty water from the car in front of yours. That would be the best way. Also use a pressure washer , they use much less water. Personally I hand wash all of my clients cars with fresh water or for 0 I’ll do a Perrier Wash!

What do you think? Answer below!
