This is a narrow lean-to shed I built at the back of the garage. I knocked through to give access from the garage as well as from the back garden.
This was not taken with flash but with available light. The camera was on Auto White Balance and I have not post processed it. This might seem academic but it proves that my daylight bulbs work.

I run an Auto detailing service out of my garage at home. I used to do it professionally at a large auto dealership collective and my work always gets compliments. I don’t have a website and can’t afford one at the moment. I need some cheap ideas on how to get more customers in the door?

You have to ask “Who are the people most likely to want my services.” Look for auto shows, classic car nights, or advertise at a place like a neighborhood cafe. If someone can afford a coffee drink these days, they can afford auto detaiing. Just be where people hang out and post a color ad to the best of your ability to produce. Stack it with “keywords” just like it was web content. Post an ad at a cafe, or get permission to put flyers on cars at a shopping center. Be creative, but not cheesy in the ad.

I want to start my own car wash abroad.

The problem is i don’t have accesses to a lot of water is there any way i can wash the cars with out using that much water any ideas would help thanks.

I live in the states and i travel back and forth to my country.

Most car washes here in the States recycle their water, so you basically get the dirty water from the car in front of yours. That would be the best way. Also use a pressure washer , they use much less water. Personally I hand wash all of my clients cars with fresh water or for 0 I’ll do a Perrier Wash!

Will children’s poly clay work as good or the same as expensive auto detailing poly clay bars to remove contaminants and/or over spray from my cars painted surface when detailing?

same basic compound i believe, however the detail bars have controled levels of abrasiveness, from very fine suitable for polishing chrome and buffing light scratches or overspray off surface of clear coat, to medium grit which will very quickly take off clear coat if you aren’t careful. Never use clay dry and ensure surface of vehicle is clean before using. If you ever drop it on ground or otherwise let it get contaminated with dust, dirt, etc. dispose of immediately or it will do horrible things to your paint

I need information for self serve & automatic car wash stalls on my property. I want 1 stall as a self service sized for trucks as well as cars. Also I want a 2nd stall with an automatic setup, the type that the car pulls in & stops, then the machinery rotates around the car.

I am very interested in a manufacturer that has a good warranty & service reputation. I don’t want to be stuck with down equipment for long

Check out other car washes and look for one you like. Get the model number and contact equipment suppliers. They usually offer a variety of plans to get them in service from revenue sharing to renting to outright purchase.

I would not use any of those products. I can’t pass the whole smearing all the sandy dirt over the paint without scratching it. it goes against the laws of physics.

there is a reason why sand paper its called sand paper.

if the seller claims that the car doesn’t get scratched, its because the product has a base product like a wax or silicone that will create the illusion that the car is not scratched, once that coat goes away you will see all the scratches.
